Wedding Emergency Kit: What You Should Have Ready on Your Big Day
Here’s a helpful checklist:
During setup, getting ready, and transitions throughout the day, there are always small things that might be missing.
These tools save the day more often than you’d expect:
- tape (regular + double-sided)
- sewing kit
- safety pins
- pens
- scissors
- lighter
Wedding days are long — and in summer, often very hot!
Feet start hurting, the sun brings headaches, and dancing leads to sweating.
These items help avoid discomfort:
- plasters + blister patches
- sunscreen
- painkillers
- sheer tights
- deodorant
- tampons or pads
- glucose tablets
- insect repellent
- chewing gum
- hair ties
- tissues
- lint roller
- hairspray
Technical problems happen — and usually at the worst moment.
To stay prepared:
- batteries
- charging cables
- power bank
As a planner, I always carry a few special extras in case the couple forgot something or the moment calls for it:
- bubbles
- sparklers
- glitter pens (guestbook)
- ring pillow
- vase for the bridal bouquet
A well-prepared emergency kit ensures that small “oopsies” don’t become big problems.
If you’re working with a wedding planner, you won’t need to think about all of this — but a little personal preparation is always a good idea to keep your day running smoothly.
